2019 - THE ARTIST TREE

A unique creative space where creativity and community congregate in the centre of Broome’s Chinatown.

The Artist Tree began with Agnes Gimme and Rachel Taylor, who sat down together under the ‘Balgo Tree’ for Agnes to paint. The friendship has grown and has become a true grassroots initiative – like a tree for shelter and shade and brings together diverse groups of people who sit down together and enjoy the painting and stories by artists from the desert regions of the Kimberley.

The Artist Tree happens monthly on Saturdays 9-12pm at the top of Carnarvon St and Napier Tce.
